Frequently Asked

Physiotherapy — your questions answered

Do I need a GP referral?

Not for private appointments. With a Team Care Arrangement (chronic disease), your GP can refer for 5 bulk-billed sessions per calendar year.

Do you accept NDIS?

We do not bill directly to NDIS. Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients are welcome — we charge our standard private fee and you submit your invoice to the NDIS for reimbursement.

How many sessions will I need?

Typically 4–8 sessions for an acute injury. Chronic conditions may need ongoing maintenance.

What's the difference between Clinical Pilates and gym Pilates?

Clinical Pilates is one-on-one with a physiotherapist using rehabilitation exercises. Gym Pilates is group-based fitness — both are valuable but for different purposes.

Can you treat me during pregnancy?

Yes — Irin specialises in pregnancy and postnatal physiotherapy. Most treatments are safe throughout pregnancy.
