Driving Medicals — your questions answered
What should I bring?
Photo ID, glasses/contacts, list of medications, previous medical certificate if a renewal.
How much does it cost?
$200 flat fee for all driving medical types. Reception will confirm when you book.
Will I get my certificate the same day?
Yes — provided we don't need additional tests. Most certificates are issued at the end of your appointment.
Do you do heavy vehicle (HC/MC/MR) medicals?
Yes — to NHVR standards including sleep apnoea screening.
Can my diabetes affect my licence?
Diabetes alone doesn't disqualify you from driving — but VicRoads requires regular reviews. We screen for hypoglycaemia awareness, glucose control and eye health.
