Patient info FAQs
Are you really 100% bulk billing?
Yes. All standard GP consultations are bulk-billed for valid Medicare card holders. Some procedures, dressings and non-Medicare services attract small private fees as detailed in our fee schedule above.
What if I don't have a Medicare card?
Non-Medicare patients are charged $70 on weekdays and $80 on weekends. Visa-holders, international students and tourists are welcome.
How do I register as a new patient?
Complete the online new-patient registration form at cranbournewestmc.com.au/patient-registration, or fill in the form at reception when you arrive for your first visit.
What is MyMedicare and should I register?
MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration program that links you to a regular GP and clinic. Patients get longer telehealth consults, better care continuity, and improved chronic disease management. Register at our practice via this link.
Can I get a copy of my medical record?
Yes. Patients are entitled to access their own medical records under privacy law. Submit a written request to reception or email info@cranbournewestmc.com.au — we'll process it within reasonable time. A small administrative fee may apply for transferring records to another clinic.
