Frequently Asked

Dietitian — your questions answered

Do I need a GP referral?

Not for private appointments — Anne's standard fee is $75 for everyone. With a GP Care Plan, Medicare provides a $61 rebate (gap fee approx $14). Pension and Health Care Card holders with a Care Plan are fully bulk-billed (no out-of-pocket cost).

How often will I see the dietitian?

Initial visit + 2–4 follow-ups is typical. Long-term conditions like diabetes may need ongoing support.

Will I get a meal plan?

Yes — Anne creates personalised meal plans tailored to your culture, budget and lifestyle.

Do you advise on weight loss medications?

Yes — Anne can discuss the role of GLP-1 medications (Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy) within a holistic plan, working with your GP.

Can you help with food allergies?

Yes — particularly for children. We can develop elimination plans and reintroduction protocols.
