Arrive 10 minutes early. New patients fill in our 5-minute registration form.
Standard visits run 10–15 minutes; longer appointments for complex needs.
Test results, referrals, prescriptions — managed via patient portal or phone.
Most services are bulk-billed for valid Medicare card holders.
Not for private paying clients or NDIS participants. A GP referral is only required if you want to access Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) sessions — your GP will need to write a Team Care Arrangement.
Sarah works with children from preschool age (3+) through teens. For under-3s with significant concerns, very early intervention can also begin — book a chat with Sarah to discuss your child's specific needs.
Initial assessments are 60 minutes. Follow-up therapy sessions are typically 45 minutes. Frequency varies — weekly is most common, fortnightly for maintenance.
Children: speech & language delays, articulation, stuttering, selective mutism, childhood apraxia of speech, social communication. Adults: dysphagia (swallowing), aphasia, dysarthria, voice disorders, AAC users.
It depends on the goal. Some children need 6–12 sessions for a specific issue (e.g. articulation). Children with more complex needs may benefit from longer-term therapy. Sarah will give an honest estimate at the initial assessment.
Many extras-cover health funds offer rebates for speech pathology — Sarah provides receipts you can claim. NDIS: we do not bill NDIS directly. Self-managed and plan-managed NDIS clients pay our standard private fee on the day and submit the invoice to NDIS for reimbursement. HCP and Medicare CDM patients have their own funding pathways — reception will explain when you book.
