No need to drive across town — our on-site pathology service (operated by Australian Clinical Labs) is open most days for blood tests, urine collection, swabs, ECG and more. Same-clinic pathology means faster turnaround for your results.

Pathology — your questions answered
Do I need a referral?
Yes — pathology requires a request form from your GP or specialist. Bring it with you.
Do I need to fast?
Some tests (cholesterol, glucose) need a 10–12 hour fast. Your GP will let you know at booking.
How long do results take?
Routine bloods 1–3 days. Microbiology and complex tests up to 7 days. Your GP will call if urgent.
Are pathology tests bulk billed?
Most are bulk-billed when ordered with a referral. Some specialty tests (e.g. genetic, hormone) attract a private fee — the lab will let you know.
Can I get pre-op bloods done here?
Yes — bring your hospital request form. Common pre-op tests include FBC, U&Es, coag, group & hold.
