Dr Faisal Siddiqui
Dr Siddiqui is one of the Doctors&Co. highly qualified and experienced medical professionals, currently exercising his wide range of skills at our Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
Growing up in West Africa and working there as well as in Asia and the United Kingdom, Dr Siddiqui completed his General Specialisation at the General College of Royal Practitioners in the UK, as well as a Masters in Public Health. He worked for the UK National Institute of Health and Care Institute and published four clinical guidelines.
Now settled in Australia with his family, Dr Siddiqui is a valued member of the Doctors&Co. team. With skills and experience in many aspects of general practice, he has a particular interest in diabetes, paediatrics, psychiatry, and sexual and reproductive health (including contraception and implants).
Dr Siddiqui is also experienced with WorkCover, Transport Accident Commission and Centrelink claims, and can assist patients with the burden of paperwork. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Practitioners, and holds the role of Examiner.
Examiners are critical in the assessment of GPs in Australia, and they represent excellence in general practice. This role also ensures that Dr Siddiqui is at the cutting edge of current and best practice medical knowledge.
Dr Siddiqui’s experience dealing with patients from different countries and backgrounds makes him an exceptional, understanding and compassionate general practitioner. When not devoting time to caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his young family.
As well as quality family time he enjoys sports such as cricket and badminton, and despite being happily settled in Australia a part of his heart remains in the UK with his favourite football club Manchester United!
Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad Shahzad
Dr Shahzad is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services. He is currently a valued member of the Doctors&Co. family, sharing his knowledge, skills and more than 15 years’ general practice experience at the Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
Dr Shahzad started his career in general practice in Pakistan and worked there for a few years after graduating in 2001. He then moved to the United Kingdom in 2007 and completed further training, where he gained experience and competency in specialities such as mental health, children’s health, elderly care, medical emergencies, and women’s health. He moved to Australia in 2015 and was awarded FRACGP status in 2017.
Dr Shahzad is multi-lingual, with fluency in Punjabi and Urdu, which is valuable in communicating with patients in our multicultural community. He is passionate about providing care in the community and using his depth of knowledge to help a wide diversity of patients. He is focusing his skills on managing chronic diseases and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity, eczema, depression, and anxiety.
Dr Shahzad has a holistic approach to his work, and when not providing exceptional medical care to patients he looks after his own physical, mental and emotional health by spending time with his family and visiting the gym.
Dr. Shilpa Chegu
Dr Shilpa Chequ is a highly qualified and specialised GP working with the talented Doctors&Co. team at the Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
Dr Chegu completed her training in the UK in 2009 and is a member of the UK Royal College of General Practitioners. She holds a Diploma from the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Diploma of Family Planning and Sexual health.
Practising as a GP in Australia since 2018, Dr Chegu is a Fellow of the Australian Royal College of General Practitioners and is an Examiner for GP Registrars’ RACGP Fellowship examinations at Melbourne University, a role that is only held by medical professionals who demonstrate a strong understanding of current knowledge and best practice education and training of Australian GPs.
Dr Chegu has particular interests in chronic disease management, weight loss and management, preventative medicine, and, women’s and children’s health. She has accredited for IUD (Copper and Mirena) insertion and removals and for subdermal implants. In addition, she performs cosmetic injections and minor surgery.
Dr Chequ’s focus on patient education and continuity of quality care make her a valuable member of the skilled and dedicated team at Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
When not focusing her many skills and a calm, efficient manner towards patient care she enjoys travelling, reading, music and theatre, and performing as a trained classical Indian singer.
Dr. Syed Ahmed
With over 15 years of clinical experience, including over four years in general practice, Dr Ahmed is another multi-skilled and highly experienced member of the Doctors&Co. family who is contributing his valuable knowledge to the dedicated team at Cranbourne West Medical Centre.
Practising in the United Kingdom, he achieved full membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. He is a clinical supervisor for medical students at the University of Notre Dame and also practises at an inner-Melbourne clinic.
With a varied background from training and practising in the UK as well as in Australia, Dr Ahmed has extensive general experience as well as special interest in skin cancer prevention and treatment, aged care and geriatric medicine, mental health, chronic disease management, and women’s health. He is involved in skin cancer screening and does minor skin surgical procedures.
Dr Ahmed is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, which is a qualification awarded for consistently demonstrating competence, safety and quality of care across the core skills of general practice.
Dr Ahmed also holds membership with the Australian Medical Council, which oversees standards of training, education and assessment of the medical profession. He is a compassionate and dedicated professional who takes the time to get to know his patients and who builds their trust and confidence with his calm, competent and assured manner. Dr. Dipankar Chakraborty
Dr Chakraborty is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), affirming his status as a provider of high quality, safe and competent general practice services.
Completing additional education and training in skin cancer management and attained professional and advanced certificates in skin cancer medicine and complex skin cancer surgery. He provides comprehensive skin assessments which includes diagnosis, biopsy and excisions with experience in flaps and grafts. He also treats patients with various other skin ailments.
Dr Chakraborty is the lead skin doctor at Aurora Skin Clinic in Wangaratta and offers rural skin cancer treatments throughout Victoria and teaches registrars/students on skin cancer medicine and surgery.
Dr Chakraborty is dedicated to skin cancer management and strongly feels that no patient should ever die of skin cancer.
